The Gilmore, a Kalamazoo-based nonprofit organization, honors the memory of local businessman and philanthropist Irving S. Gilmore by fostering a worldwide passion for keyboard finesse, by creating some of the most unique and significant awards for pianists anywhere in the world and by holding a biennial piano festival to celebrate keyboard music.
